ABOUT ISABELLE GROC
Isabelle Groc is a freelance writer and photographer based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
She has a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University, New York, where she specialized in photojournalism.
She has contributed to various publications including Urbanisme, Esprit, Urban Technology, Planning, the Georgia Straight, Liberation, and E/The Environmental Magazine.
She is a winner of the
CBC David Suzuki 2005 Nature in Focus Environmental Photography Competition.
In 2006, she was awarded A Great Waters Institute Fellowship from the
Institutes for Journalism and Natural Resources
to study environmental issues affecting the Great Lakes Region, and in 2007 she won a
Scripps Howard Institute on the Environment
fellowship to examine environmental impacts in South Florida and the Everglades.

Isabelle has exhibited her photos at the Vancouver Public Library, the Exposure Gallery, the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre, and the Alliance Francaise de Vancouver.
